New Prius? The Tuk Tuk craps on you!

Tuk Tuk in America
So you're already checking out the new Prius, huh? Oooh, it's so efficient, aaah, it doesn't have any personality to get in the way of the fuel savings! You're so wrong! What you should be looking at is the newly EPA-approved Tuk Tuk! Straight outta Thailand, the three-wheeler gets a ladyboy-groping 55 miles to the gallon! Stick that in your glory hole, Toyota!

With fuel-saving modifications like no doors, no airbags and the capability to haul sex tourists at a scorching 55 miles per hour - the Tuk Tuk is the future! As the Tuk Tuk USA website clearly proves - broken links, animated bugs bunny, side by side pickup truck comparisoTuk Tuk KFC Chicken Mobilen and all. But hey, at ten grand, that kicks the crap out of the Prius' 30,000 pricetag!

A 'Green' car that doesn't bore the crap outta ya? - Check out the Citroen C-Cactus Concept

Citroen C-Cactus Concept
Yes, the Elettrica in the last post is very...responsible. But it's basically a golf cart. And yes, the Prius makes people feel good about their environmental mindedness. But it's a horrible, fish-shaped, boring, cloth-seated five-door hatchback. So, at this year's Frankfurt Autoshow, Citroen is showing off a concept that won't have you shrugging your shoulders until they're sore and discolored. Instead, marvel at the chunky Citroen's curves and bulges, windows that look like they were crudely drawn with a crayon. That's what you want from a car that gets about 70mpg - which totally craps on the Prius's 40 and change to the gallon.

Plus, the C-Cactus achieves this gas economy through fancy diesel technology, variable valve timing and other cleverness. Not just using electric when going slow. And, finally, while Prius uses damn-near-impossible to recycle batteries - lots of them, the C-Catus is made to be easier to recycle and more green to produce. Now let's hope Citroen actually produces it!

A Chinese Chevy: How can You Lose?

If You're Under 25, you must be a DJ!

'Young people. With their music and their long hair. Get a damn job, you useless bastards!' That's just about how GM executives talk, we'd assume. Executive people are about the age to have teenage kids and who's more in touch with youth than their parents!

So, in a desperate, desperate death spasm of attempted coolness, Chevy has just shown off some shiny, new, teeny, tiny concept cars at the New York Auto Show. Needless to say, with how New York feels about cars - debuting very small and very slow rides simply must be done in walking capital of the United States.

But wait! It's not that all three of these little bastards might make it to production. Instead, like any good dad, Chevrolet has provided us with choice! Even you can go to http://www.vote4chevrolet.com/ and vote for the Beat, Groove or Trax as the concept you hate least. Also notice how they all have DJing related names, for that extra bit of small car funk.

Apparently, spinning some mad, phat vinyl is what all young people do all the time. They are the same exact people that, apparently, just crave the very hell out of tiny little cars. Witness this closeup of an orange Toyota Aygo, from last year's Paris show - with the hydraulic-powered rear(that's something we can all enjoy) that comes out on to reveal two turntables and a microphone. So play that funky music! (as long as you're not very tall)
